1 Casual clothes should be clean, pressed and well-fitting
2 Never out-dress your boss or superiors.
3. Keep a blue blazer and tie in your office for unexpected appointments.
4. Pay as much attention to your physique and physical appearance as your clothes.
5. Invest in a very few high quality separates. A double-breasted blue blazer over a pinpoint oxford white button-down shirt is always a great look.
6. Want attention? Wear a white shirt. White next to the face is very flattering.
7. Want to make a statement? Keep most of your wardrobe subtle, express yourself with interesting socks and conversational ties.
8. Trouser length should at least touch the top of your shoe, or ideally with a slight break. Length is a personal preference, but longer is better.
9. When wearing a belt, it should be colour-coordinated with shoe, i.e. a black belt should not be worn with brown shoes.
10. Button-down collared shirts do not belong with double-breasted suits.
11. When wearing a polo-neck, mock-neck or turtle-neck knit shirt with a suit or sport coat, it should be tucked into the trouser. |
