Everyone who has to appear on stage has a certain amount of fear. The only difference is that some acknowledge that fear and some do not. It would be a good idea to acknowledge the fear to yourself and use it positively. Analyze what it is that you are afraid of? It could be that you are scared of tripping over while walking to the mike, of going blank, of your voice coming out in a croak…Once you have identified your fears try to take every possible step to ensure that that particular event does not take place. At times you may find that your fear was well warranted, in which case you can take any needed action so that the untoward event does not occur. Coming to terms with your fears will push you towards perfect planning and preparation.
