Standing like a tree might get you strange looks in public. But try it in the privacy of your room - Vrikshasana yields some wonderful benefits.
Vrikshasana or the Tree Pose improves concentration, balance and co-ordination. Since the whole body's weight is rested on one foot, the muscles of that leg are strengthened and toned. The arms are stretched over the head, thereby stretching the arm muscles.
This also improves blood circulation and eyesight.
Vrikshasana is a wonderful way to improve the body's co-ordination, balance and flexibility.
The Vrikshasana is best done in the morning or at sunset. Your belly should be empty. If you have a knee problem or a blood pressure problem, consult an expert before trying this. |
